The Detroit Tigers are a well-known and highly supported Major League Baseball team based out of Michigan. They have won the World Series four times, in 1935, 1945, 1968, and 1984, and the pennant for the American League a whopping ten times. Their home games are played in downtown Detroit, at Comerica Park.
The Tigers began playing back in 1896, at Bennett Park. They moved to Navin Field by 1912, and by 1938 the field had been expanded and retitled Briggs Stadium. It was later called Tiger Stadium, in their honor. The Detroit Tigers did not begin playing at Comerica Park until 2000.
